Childish dropped two projects concurrently. Kauai is the full length album and STNMTN is the accompanying DJ Drama Gangsta Grillz mixtape.  The mixtape is like a right of passage to get that co-sign from Drama for Atlanta emcees. You’re getting what you expect though. Its Gambino going ham on other people’s beats. Its fun. On the other side you have Kauai featuring Jaden Smith. Which seems out of the blue. Kauai is in many ways about love and how he deals with it. Simply put it works. The chemistry doesn’t sound forced even when Jaden is just talking. I’m never too far from putting the Kauai album on again and listening to it front to back.
